Disabled Access – Conformance Report

A report prepared by MiScion Pty Ltd on behalf of the town Progress Association in relation numerous complaints received regarding the safety of the main street pavements of the town. Specifically the difficulty experienced by elderly and disabled residents trying to negotiate the main entrance of the new council offices from Elizabeth street in wheelchairs or “Gophers”. The report was submitted to council by the Progress Association in July 2017, and to date [July 2021] there has been no formal response.

The following report should be read in conjunction with the Councils stated aims in their publication “ISO19 Disabled Access & Facilities” dated 2011, a copy of which can be found on the Publications page of this site.
